Submissions & Inquiries
Mayapple Press is a highly-selective small press specializing contemporary literature, especially poetry and works that straddle conventional categories: Great Lakes, women, Caribbean, translations, science fiction poetry, prose-poems, recent immigrant experience, Judaica. Publications are in both chapbook and trade paperback formats (usually under 100 pages). In general, we publish only authors with prior publications with reputable presses or literary magazines, Mayapple Press reads manuscripts between July 1 and November 30. Please save email attachments such as manuscripts and resumes in .RTF format so that they can be read by all word processors. Such content can be included in the body of your email, but remember that italics, underlining and boldface will not travel as email text. Email submissions and inquiries without reading fee will not usually be answered or acknowledged. |
